Quotes from reviews of Specter below!

....perform splendidly and seem to relish every bar of Antheil’s writing. These notably committed players have an unaffected, direct approach producing exuberantly rhythmic performances. No problems at all with the fresh and clear recording produced at Sono Luminus Studio, Boyce, Virginia. In the booklet Duo Odéon provide an interesting essay and there is a second titled ‘About the music’ by Antheil specialist Mauro Piccinini. This fascinating album of Antheil’s music for violin and piano engaged me from the first note to the last.
— Michael Cookson, MusicWeb-International
Every layer of Antheil’s inventive orchestration can be heard in Leland’s fiery double-stops which make the music leap off the page, and with the remarkable physicality of Fincher’s pianism, Duo Odéon brings Antheil’s genius to life again in an utterly memorable performance of his works.
— Raul da Gama, The Whole Note

Hannah and Aimee are working with the label Sono Luminus to record three never-before-recorded works by Antheil, two of which are only available as unpublished manuscripts! The recording will include Antheil's Sonatina for Violin and Piano and the violin-piano reduction of his Violin Concerto, written for the violinist Werner Gebauer. The final piece on the recording is Valses from "Specter of the Rose," a set of three little waltzes based on Antheil's film score to Ben Hecht's Specter of the Rose.
